All professional development opportunities encompass a multi-modal, experiential training delivery approach that strives to meet the unique learning needs of all participants while offering a careful balance of theory, practice and skill building.

During trainings or workshops, participants will experience a variety of large and small group dialogue, interactive activities and simulation exercises.

A variety of training techniques such as role-playing, silent reflections, group brainstorming,

scenario application, and cycle of inquiry is utilized.

Restorative Practices 5-day Training Series

Introduction to Restorative Practices

Day 1

This foundational introduction training offers a thorough overview of building a restorative school community by introducing restorative principles and concepts, community building practices, and a non-punitive, yet highly effective, discipline approach for responding to conflict and behavioral infractions.

Proactive Circles


Day 2

This training introduces the core structure and components of proactive community building circle design, and circle keeping practice. 



Days 3 & 4

Once the initial relationship-building, proactive components of restorative practices are in place, this training focuses on the development of school-wide restorative discipline systems and skill building for minor to medium level behavioral needs and conflict.

Formal Restorative Conferencing

Day 5

This 1-day training provides an introduction and practice with formal restorative conferencing utilized for high-level behavioral incidents, alternative to suspensions or situations that have caused a significant level of harm in the community. 

Trainer of Trainers Course (TOT)

The RP TOT course is designed to provide a personalized, high quality and intensive training program for individuals advancing on to become district and school site RP trainers and coaches. The course will include training observations, content review and instruction, practice, individualized training presentation plan, personal experience in the field and coaching (1:1 with consultant and Peer support).
